《Gallery Chuan》Art Corridor in Hotel Metropolitan Premier Taipei JR-East

Hotel Metropolitan team in Japan emphasizes that the interior decoration of their hotels should integrate into the region and contain local elements. Therefore, Gallery Chuan designs diverse imagery of Taiwan in both room and corridor decoration.

Let's turn the spotlight on artworks in the corridor on the second floor.
Artist Daway Achang designs "Texture of Taiwan", an aboriginal weaving collage artwork. Part of the woven fabric in the design is created by Jiaping Liao, an artisan from the Seediq with Dolily Handmake.

On the other side of the corridor, "Noble Impression" shows local culture by the structure of rice cake molds. The design is reconstructed from the works of Yungpin Cheng, a famous Taiwanese mold maker from Yuan-Fung Workshop.

"Gathering", another artwork of artist Daway Achang, is inspired by the concepts of past, present and future in abstract style. The pieces present imagery of the past, present and future, it presents the context of Taiwanese history and multicultural society.
